Rockers

Golly gee! Now where, oh where, have I seen a band with  this mix of ethnic backgrounds?

The Rockers (from left to right) - Shana, Kimber, Jerrica, and Aja.... whoops, forgot who I was looking at! I meant Dee Dee, Diva, Barbie, and Dana.

Why is Barbie's hair pink? Hmmm... Barbie's hair is pink for 10% of this video. Pink hair.... hmmm... Nope, doesn't remind
me of anyone at all.
Pink?

Onstage

Well, here's some originality! The black girl on the drums and the Asian girl
on keyboards.  I guess no one told Barbie that Hasbro decided at the last second
to switch Kimber to keyboard, Aja to lead guitar, and lose the idea of having
guys in the band.

Rockers Doll Accessories

  • "Rockers Live Concert Instruments" (?)
  • "Hot Rockin' Van" (with real tape player) -- Geez, Barbie made her Rockin' Roadster from the old Misfits  Tour band? I was wondering who Pizzazz sold that thing to.
  • "Dance Cafe" -- and look! Its the Rock Backstager's lame little brother!
  • "Concert Stage" -- well, what do you know. Here's Barbie's "Star Stage" (lame by comparison)
  • "Recording Studio" -- And Finally to make her copying ways complete, there's Barbie's version of KJEM

Barbie and The Sensations - V.2 Rockin' Back to Earth

Category: Family
Running Time: 25 mins
Distributor: Hi-Tops Video
Summary: On her way back from the Rockers space concert, Barbie and her band
go through a time tunnel and land in the year 1959. Includes "Out Of This World".

Mattel decided to take another shot at a Barbie cartoon. A year after her first episode, Barbie is
back (despite popular demand). Though titled Barbie and the Sensations, Barbie is still hanging around
with the Rockers (same group, stupid marketing gimmick). The Barbie writers (you know, the mentally
handicapped chimps that the zoo's are too embarrassed to display) must've watched Jem's "Journey
Through Time" and some Star Trek, because Barbie and the Rockers slip through a portal in space and
end up in 1959.

- Extra Stuff -

GazeWow! Nice earrings Barbie, but you probably wanted those in a red, hologram-creating variety, didn't you? Don't worry, they're over in aisle five with pink wigs. Oh, never mind. From the box for the video, I see you found them. Too cheap to buy the wig though, huh?

PS - I had more fun counting the specks on the ceiling than watching your crummy movie.
